SUNY Schenectady County Community College seeks a full-time Director of Capital North RAEN for Workforce Development & Community Education. The Director of the Capital North Regional Adult Education Network (RAEN) is a professional (unrepresented) full-time, 12-month, grant-funded position reporting to the Executive Director of the Capital North RAEN housed within the Workforce Development & Community Education (WFD&CE) Division. The RAEN is the statewide system of staff development for educators in adult education programs funded by ACCES-AEPP. The RAEN system is how the ACCES-AEPP team provides technical assistance to funded adult education programs to meet Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Title II, Section 223 requirements as well as requirements of State funding administered by ACCES-AEPP. The Director will assist the Executive Director in scheduling RAEN training, recruitment and management of training staff, data management, ensuring compliance to established protocols, providing timely reports and maintaining accurate data, recruitment of training staff, and general assistance of the Executive Director. The Capital North RAEN is responsible for providing three conferences per year. The Director will support the Executive Director in planning and executing these large-scale events as well as stand in for the Executive Director in their absence.

Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Director to provide technical assistance to programs which enables funded programs to meet National Reporting System (NRS) and state specific performance benchmarks and provide the appropriate professional development to meet WIOA initiatives for:

Professional Development that Supports Instruction in College and Career Readiness Standards, NYSED CareerKits; and Adult Basic Education; English Language Literacy; and High School Equivalency (HSE) Preparation.
Network Building.
Technical Assistance to Raise National Reporting System (NRS/state) Performance and HSE Preparation Outcomes.
Data Management and Accountability Training.
Develop and Manage Capital North RAEN website.
Digital Literacy and Employment Preparation Education (EPE) Distance Education.
Learning Disability Awareness.
Infrastructure and Communications.
Literacy Zones and HSE Networking.

Positively contribute to the continuation of collaborative working relationships with funding agencies, expand partnerships with other SUNY colleges, community-based organizations and employers.
Assist in the management of training events on campus and at other locations across the catchment area.
Provide timely reports and maintain data currency as required through the RAEN contract.
Represent the College and conduct outreach within the community and the region by attending meetings and networking activities.
Provide support in ensuring the accuracy and currency of web page.
Additional programmatic/financial/administrative duties as assigned.

PROGRAM DELIVERABLES

Assist in providing turnkey professional development training opportunities for teachers in the Capital North region of the State and report training results to ACCES-AEPP. The Accountability Office must approve all training opportunities.
Support the Executive Director in providing workshops for case managers, teachers, and administrators in English Language Learner (ELL) programs.
Support the Executive Director in providing workshops for teachers and administrators in programs funded with WIOA Section 225 funds.
Oversee the currency of a professional development calendar of all regional RAEN events.
Ensure that all regional RAEN events and professional development schedules are posted on the New York State and the regional RAEN calendar and on each RAEN's local website.
Support the Executive Director in providing technical assistance to AEPP funded programs and conduct site monitoring visits to ensure programs are meeting performance benchmarks and are following NYSED rules and procedures.
Stand in for the Executive Director when they are not available, particularly as training events may overlap across the region.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience in general education, adult education, or BOCES system
Organizational skills and attention to detail to support complex projects
Ability to build, sustain and nurture collaborative relationships
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid technology skills in desktop and web-based applications
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in an adult education and professional programs
Experience planning training events and conferences

Offers of employment will be conditional based on the successful completion of a background check and verification of official college transcripts and/or certifications.

Salary: $60,800
