Staff Assistant- Part Time
Ice Center)
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for a part-time Staff Assistant in the Ice Center. The Staff Assistant reports directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities Management (Ice Center).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Manages staff assigned to skate rental shop and other building services.
- Directs activity of on-duty ice guards and security personnel.
- Manages ice sheet systems and related Ice Center systems.
- Directs and monitors all groups renting ice time.
- Operates ice cleaning equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned which may include activity in other college facilities.
- Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is necessary.
Requirements :
- Training and / or experience in an ice arena or similar environment expected.
- Associate's degree preferred or a suitable combination of equivalent training and experience.
Additional Information :
The hourly salary for this position is $24.38.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
