Responsibilities
- Support property managers with lease or rental agreement management, including drafting, reviewing, and filing documents accurately.
- Assist with property leasing activities by scheduling showings, communicating with prospective tenants, and processing applications.
- Use property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to update records, track rent payments, and manage tenant information efficiently.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management tasks to ensure properties are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
- Handle client communication via phone and email, providing excellent customer service and resolving tenant inquiries promptly.
- Contribute to budgeting processes by tracking expenses and assisting with financial recordkeeping related to property operations.
- Support legal administrative processes by maintaining files related to landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 programs.
- Manage conflict resolution with tenants or vendors professionally, ensuring positive relationships are maintained at all times.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and record keeping to ensure all documentation is accurate and accessible for audits or reviews.
Experience
- Prior experience in property management or real estate administrative roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with property management software such as Appfolio or similar platforms is essential.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, and Section 8 housing programs is a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, lease agreements, and rental documentation accurately.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily administrative tasks.
- Experience in conflict management and negotiation to effectively handle tenant concerns or vendor issues.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across diverse audiences.
- Office experience involving data entry, filing systems, and general administrative support is required.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
