Position Summary
Sunway Charters is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Chief Impact Officer (CIO) to strengthen key partnerships, enhance customer experience, and drive growth across multiple channels. As a core member of our executive team, the CIO will serve as the voice of the customer, overseeing the development and execution of impactful strategies that align customer engagement, revenue generation, and brand visibility.
This high-impact role will directly manage the Director of Revenue and Marketing and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional service delivery. The CIO will lead efforts with our most important clients—such as the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), school systems, college athletics programs, and military travel partners—while identifying new opportunities for strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the executive-level relationship manager for key accounts, including NCDOT, K-12 and higher education institutions, military travel partners, and collegiate athletic programs.
- Lead and mentor the Director of Revenue and Marketing to drive customer-centric strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Represent the customer voice at the executive table, championing initiatives that deliver exceptional experiences and foster long-term loyalty.
- Develop strategic partnerships that expand Sunway Charters' market influence and customer base.
- Oversee the alignment of marketing, branding, and sales efforts to maximize revenue and engagement.
- Collaborate with operations, trip planning, and tour management to ensure seamless service execution.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to strengthen Sunway’s competitive position.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of charter operations, trip planning, or travel logistics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership in revenue growth, marketing, or customer engagement functions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of influencing at executive and organizational levels.
