Position Overview:
As the Compliance & Business Intelligence Analyst, you will report to the Controller and support regulatory compliance, business intelligence, and strategic operational initiatives across the organization. This role has evolved beyond traditional legal, finance or administrative support and is intended for someone who can help the business organize complex information, strengthen reporting processes, and leverage technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to create more efficient and scalable workflows. This role combines compliance oversight, research, reporting, and process automation to improve efficiency and support informed decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
Compliance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements under federal and state regulations, including IRS guidance under Sections 45Y and 48E of the Internal Revenue Code.
- Track and maintain wage determinations, job classifications, and apprenticeship ratios across development and construction projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams and third-party platforms to implement compliance workflows.
- Support audits, reporting obligations, and compliance reviews by gathering and organizing required documentation.
- Identify compliance risks and recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls and reduce exposure.
- Leverage technology, automation, and process improvements to streamline compliance tracking, document management, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting.
Business Intelligence
- Partner with FP&A to develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports supporting compliance, operational, and executive reporting.
- Utilize reporting, database, and automation tools to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and business insights.
- Build and enhance reporting tools using platforms such as Power BI, Excel, Power Query, Power Automate, SQL, Python, VBA, or similar technologies.
- Evaluate and implement AI and automation solutions that enhance reporting and operational workflows.
- Translate complex or decentralized data into clear, usable reporting and insights for internal stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation of reporting processes, data sources, automation workflows, and recurring compliance requirements to support continuity and knowledge transfer.
Cross Functional Partnership
- Work closely with Finance, Development, Operations, People & Culture, and external partners to ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting.
- Serve as a detail-oriented project coordinator for compliance and reporting initiatives that require input from multiple teams.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders to gather information, clarify requirements, follow up on missing items, and ensure deadlines are met.

What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Political Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred. Strong academic performance is valued.

- AI Curiosity & Judgement: Comfortable exploring current and newly evolved AI tools, while applying sound judgement, confidentiality and data accuracy standards

The salary range for this role reflects the broad array of factors considered in making compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications, as well as other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $72,000-$90,000. At SunVest, it is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, as compensation decisions are tailored to the specifics of each case.
