Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Pipe Welders with experience welding stainless steel piping, particularly butt-weld joints. Candidates must demonstrate strong welding skills and be prepared to complete the client's required welding qualification tests.
Responsibilities
- Perform pipe welding on stainless steel piping systems.
- Weld butt joints according to approved welding procedures and project specifications.
- Prepare, fit, and weld pipe joints while maintaining proper alignment.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet applicable inspection and acceptance criteria.
- Work with pipefitters to ensure accurate joint preparation and fit-up.
- Follow welding procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Participate in required weld qualification tests and inspections.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated industrial pipe-welding experience.
- Hands-on experience with stainless steel butt welds.
- Experience with TIG/GTAW or other required welding processes, as specified by the client.
- Ability to pass the client's practical welding test.
- Familiarity with weld quality requirements and inspection procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing welds subject to radiographic testing (X-ray/RT) and ultrasonic testing (UT).
- Experience in pharmaceutical, process piping, or other high-quality industrial piping environments.
- Relevant welding certifications, if required by the client.
