Electronics Repair Technician
Sunstone Engineering, located in Spanish Fork, Utah, is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of micro welding technology. We are seeking a full-time Electronics Repair Technician to support product quality and reliability across our production and service operations.
In this role, you will perform hands-on troubleshooting, testing, and repair of electronic assemblies and systems. You’ll work closely with engineering to identify issues, improve product quality, and ensure our equipment meets performance standards before reaching customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Test production and refurbished systems to verify performance and functionality
- Diagnose and repair returned units, ensuring they meet quality standards before shipment
- Troubleshoot electronic and basic mechanical issues down to the component level
- Identify root causes of failures and recommend corrective actions
- Route products for rework when needed and complete supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate repair logs, reports, and quality records
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Develop familiarity with Sunstone products to support effective testing and quality control
- Collaborate with engineering to improve product reliability and manufacturability
Qualifications
- 2 years of hands-on experience in electronics repair, manufacturing, or a related field
- Associate’s degree or technical training in electronics (preferred, not required)
- Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeter; oscilloscope a plus)
- Basic soldering and rework skills preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently
- Comfortable using computers and standard software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
