Job Skills / Requirements

HIRING IMMEDIATELY      

Sunstates Security is currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Security Officers for a new corporate headquarters account in Arlington, VA. We are seeking both part-time and full-time officers to support evening, overnight, weekend, and federal holiday coverage. These positions offer a pay rate of $21.00/hr - with weekly pay.   

$500 Bonus available after 6 months of employment in the position hired for.     

Officers will provide physical security support, respond to alarms, conduct site inspections, complete daily reports, and follow client-specific procedures. Candidates with open availability, weekend/overnight availability, and flexibility to support additional shifts are strongly encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Officers will be expected to:

• Provide professional physical security support at the client’s Arlington headquarters.
• Respond to alarms and security concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain physical security of the site following alarm response.
• Conduct routine site inspections and security checks.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, pass-down logs, and other required documentation.
• Follow client-specific post orders, emergency procedures, and Sunstates Security standards.
• Maintain a professional uniformed presence.
• Communicate clearly with Sunstates leadership, client contacts, and emergency responders when needed.
• Support after-hours, weekend, and federal holiday security operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be able to work in Arlington, VA.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be comfortable completing reports and detailed documentation.
• Must be able to work evenings, overnights, weekends, or holidays as assigned.
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, dispatch, corporate security, or preferred customer-service experience.
• VA DCJS registration preferred or ability to obtain/maintain required credentials, if applicable.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The strongest candidates will have:

• Availability for part-time or full-time scheduling.
• Flexibility to assist with additional shifts when needed.
• Prior security, access control, alarm response, or corporate security experience.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good judgment during after-hours incidents.
• Professional appearance and communication style.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation to Arlington, VA.
