Sunstates Security has an immediate opening for a talented and motivated Account Manager based in Spartanburg, SC. This position is responsible for the overall management of a security program supporting a large-scale, high-security operational environment. The Security Account Manager leads day-to-day operations,supervises personnel, and ensures services are delivered in a consistent and reliable manner. he role requires strong leadership, organization, and decision-making while maintaining control of the operation as conditions change over time.
This position offers an annual salary of $80,000 - plus industry-leading benefits, including medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k), PTO, tuition assistance, and more.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Oversees daily security operations across all assigned posts and shifts, including access control, patrol activity, delivery coordination, and general site coverage.
- Ensures that staffing levels are maintained, schedules are accurate, and operational expectations are consistently reinforced.
- Responds to site issues in real time and ensure qualified support is always in place.
- Leads a structured team that includes an Assistant Account Manager, along with field supervision and shift-level leadership.
- Supports day-to-day execution and helps maintain consistency across all shifts.
- Serves as the primary point of contact for the client and is responsible for maintaining a high level of service.
- Regular communication is expected to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure the security program continues to meet expectations.
- Ensures that all personnel are properly trained and remain compliant with company and site expectations.
- As the program develops, a dedicated training function will support structured training and drill activity.
- Ensures this program remains consistent across all shifts.
- Responsible for scheduling, payroll coordination, and general administrative oversight.
- Account inspections, quality checks, and performance tracking tools are used to maintain standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Responsible for maintaining the account within budget and service expectations, including monitoring overtime and turnover.
- When deficiencies are identified, action plans are implemented to correct them.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of 5–8 years of security experience is preferred, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in high-security or critical infrastructure environments is strongly preferred, particularly in large-scale or hyperscale operations.
- Working knowledge or exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NERC, or similar standards is highly valued.
- Experience operating in environments with compliance requirements, such as BIS or similar regulatory frameworks, is preferred.
- Background in construction environments, power generation/distribution, cooling systems, or other infrastructure-heavy operations is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to operate in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
