Sunstates Security is hiring Part-Time Unarmed Security Officers in the Roanoke, VA area. Part Time Day and Night Shifts are available! These positions offer a pay rate of $18.75/hr with weekly pay.

Position Overview

Sunstates Security is seeking professional Security Officers to support a cosmetics production facility in Roanoke, VA. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through access control, patrol operations, visitor management, and facility security. Candidates who thrive in fast-paced industrial environments and enjoy interacting with employees, contractors, and delivery personnel are encouraged to apply.

Primary Responsibilities

Security Officers will be expected to:

• Provide professional security support at a busy production facility in Roanoke, VA.
• Control access for employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors entering and exiting the facility.
• Monitor truck traffic, raw material deliveries, shipping activity, and mill operations.
• Conduct vehicle inspections, credential verification, and gatehouse operations in accordance with site procedures.
• Perform routine patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter zones.
• Respond to alarms, safety incidents, emergencies, and security concerns while following established escalation procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, truck logs, visitor logs, and other required documentation.
• Maintain a visible security presence to promote a safe and secure work environment.
• Follow all client-specific post orders, safety requirements, and Sunstates Security standards.
• Communicate effectively with plant management, truck drivers, contractors, employees, emergency responders, and Sunstates leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work in Roanoke, VA.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Must possess strong customer service and communication skills.
• Must be comfortable working in an active production facility (including noise, equipment, and outdoor conditions).
• Must be able to complete detailed reports and documentation accurately.
• Must be able to work weekends and company-observed holidays as assigned.
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, industrial, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or customer service experience preferred.
• Active Tennessee security licensing (if required) or ability to obtain and maintain required credentials preferred.

Position Summary

This position is ideal for individuals seeking a professional security role supporting a cosmetics production facility, while gaining experience in access control, industrial security, gate operations, and facility safety within a manufacturing environment.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
