PT Security Officer - 2nd Shift - $17/hr

Sunstates Security is currently hiring for a Part-Time Security Officer in the Tobyhanna, PA area. We have 2nd shift available! This position offers a pay rate of $17.00/hr - paid weekly.

As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients. You will be responsible for patrolling assigned areas, monitoring surveillance equipment, controlling access, and responding to incidents in a calm and professional manner.

Schedule:

Days and hours can vary depending on operational needs.

• Monday, Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays (2nd Shift).

Key responsibilities:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Control access to buildings and restricted areas.
• Report suspicious behavior, safety hazards, or security breaches.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete incident and shift reports accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provide excellent customer service while ensuring rules and regulations are followed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional security or leadership training a plus.
• Valid NJ SORA security guard license.
• 1 years of experience in security.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
• Basic computer skills and ability to write clear reports.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and work indoors/outdoors as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience with security for trucking and logistics companies.
• Military or law enforcement background.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders/SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
