Job Skills / Requirements

Sunstates Security is currently hiring Full-Time, Part-time and Flex Security Officers for ALL shifts in Decatur, IL. 

Various days and shifts are available with a pay rate of $18.75/hr, with weekly pay. Pay depends on shift.

Shifts: 

Days and hours can vary depending on operational needs. 

• 1st shift: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• 2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• 3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Requirements: 

• Be able to obtain a PERC card.
• Excellent customer service skills. 
• Security officer, law enforcement, and/or military experience is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
• Ability to pass criminal background and drug screen pre-hire.
• Must have availability to work all shifts, mornings, evenings, and overnights for Flex positions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must regularly walk or stand for extended periods of time and distance.
• Exceptional report writing skills.

Benefits: Qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security (part-time and flex). 

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
