Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - FT/PT - $25/hr

Sunstates Security is seeking qualified Full-Time and Part-Time Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for a client site in Decatur, Illinois area. Multiple shifts are available, including weekends. The position offers a pay rate of $25.00/hr - paid weekly.

Position Summary

The EMT is responsible for providing emergency medical response, supporting site safety and security operations, and assisting with incident management in accordance with Sunstates Security policies and client requirements.

Available Shifts

Shift schedules may vary based on operational needs.

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and emergency medical care to injured or ill individuals.
• Assess injuries and determine appropriate treatment and response procedures.
• Coordinate and assist with patient transportation to medical facilities when necessary.
• Respond to medical emergencies and requests for assistance.
• Deliver emergency care within the scope of EMT certification.
• Follow site-specific safety, security, and emergency response procedures.
• Conduct routine and random patrols of the facility and surrounding property.
• Complete required documentation, including Daily Activity Logs and Incident Reports.
• Report all medical incidents, accidents, and emergencies accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a professional presence while providing exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Current State EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, or Paramedic certification.
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Basic computer proficiency and technical skills.
• Availability to work weekends as needed.
• Ability to learn and follow Post Orders, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and emergency response protocols.
• Strong decision-making skills and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Security personnel may perform a variety of duties as outlined in site-specific Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures. Successful candidates must be able to quickly interpret and execute established procedures while maintaining professionalism and attention to safety.
