Qualifications/Requirements:
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written)
- Self-motivated team player with an ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including overtime
- Ability to function in a fast-paced team environment
- Detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and adhere to tight timelines
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel
- Knowledge of AS400 and Lawson accounting programs a plus
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 5 years of experience in an accounting environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries
- Perform various month-end reporting and account reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis
- Provide project assistance and support for the accounting department and other functions of the business
- Provide assistance / training to other team members
