Position Summary:
The Shipping, Receiving & Forklift Operator is responsible for the accurate handling of incoming and outgoing materials. This role ensures all shipments are received, verified, stored, picked, and loaded efficiently while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:Shipping:
- Stage, and prepare orders for shipment based on work orders and schedules
- Load trucks and secure materials properly, including large or fragile items
- Build, wrap, and label skids/pallets for shipment
- Verify order accuracy prior to shipment and complete required documentation
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams to meet daily shipping targets
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders
- Inspect materials for damage, discrepancies, or quality concerns and report issues promptly
- Accurately record and label received goods in inventory systems
- Unload trucks safely using forklifts or other material handling equipment
- Store materials in designated locations to maintain organization and accessibility
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Move materials between departments as required
- Maintain clean, organized shipping and receiving areas
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Support inventory counts and general warehouse organization
- Valid forklift certification
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing environment =
- Ability to safely handle heavy materials (50 lbs ; team lifting for larger items)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems
