Role Description This full-time, on-site Field Service Technician role is based in Foley, AL. The Field Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining agricultural, construction, and turf equipment at customer sites and in the field. Daily activities include performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, and completing repair orders and service documentation accurately. The role involves interacting with customers to explain findings, provide service updates, and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently. The technician collaborates with parts and service teams, follows safety procedures, and participates in ongoing training to stay current on equipment technologies and manufacturer standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in mechanical diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of heavy or agricultural equipment.
- Experience with basic electrical systems, hydraulics, and the use of diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, technical diagrams, and repair documentation.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills in field environments.
- Capability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple service calls.
- Basic computer skills for service reporting and use of manufacturer diagnostic software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record suitable for operating service vehicles.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in diesel, mechanical, or equipment technology is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions and occasionally handle physically demanding tasks.
- Prior field service or dealership experience with agricultural or construction equipment is a plus.
