What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Staff position at Sunshine Village?
Welcome to Sunshine Village! We're looking for a new enthusiastic individual to join our growing team! At Sunshine Village, we offer open play. birthday parties, events, and more to ages 0-6. There is full parental supervision at all times, so no childcare is required. We are located conveniently inside of the Rockaway Mall, so we're open 7 days a week always mall hours. The job description includes:
-Checking customers in/out at front desk for open play, snacks, coffee, etc.
-Maintaining play area throughout the shift, kids can be messy! Completing Opening/Closing Checklist and making sure play area is kept up with throughout shift as much as possible
-Cleaning surfaces, vacuuming, and steaming toys in the play area to ensure we keep everything as clean and safe as can be!
-Answering phone calls, and any in person questions regarding memberships, birthday parties, open play. etc.
-Setting up/cleaning up birthday parties - assisting managers with tablecloths, chairs, tables, cleaning everything, etc.
-Assisting decorating team with birthday decorations- balloon arches, centerpieces, goody-bags, etc.
Starting Pay: $16 an hour with potential $1 raise every 6 months based off of quarterly evaluations, with maximum pay being $18 for this position after 1 year.
Exact Shifts Needed:
Tuesday- 4:00PM-8:30PM
Wednesday-12:00PM-5:00PM
Thursday-4:00-8:30PM
Saturday-2:30PM-8:30PM

Requirements:
-Must speak English - Spanish isn't required but a plus
-Experience with children/toddlers/infants isn't required but a plus
-Must be available at least 1 weekend day
-Must be available nights until 8-9PM
-Must be energetic, friendly, and bring a positive attitude to work everyday! Working around children is a privilege. Don't forget that!
-Must have a reliable way to get to work everyday
-You may bring your child with you to work. as long as it doesn't effect your ability to do your required tasks
-Must have a High school Diploma, GED, or be in school
