Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO will provide strategic leadership, strengthen community engagement, and ensure operational and financial excellence across employment supports, community-based day, and day habilitation programs, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and those on the autism spectrum.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

The President & CEO will:

• Lead strategic planning and organizational growth with a balanced focus on mission, people, and performance.
• Guide and mentor a talented senior management team, fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, families, funders, and local and state leaders.
• Ensure financial strength and sustainability through effective planning, resource management, and stewardship.
• Serve as a visible and credible ambassador for Sunshine Village, advocating for inclusive opportunities across the region.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We welcome applicants from a wide range of industries who bring strong senior-level leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have:

• A bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred).
• Significant experience in senior management or executive leadership roles within a complex, multifaceted organization.
• Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing budgets, executing strategy, and driving organizational performance.
• Strong community-relations skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience working with or alongside state or federal agencies (e.g., DDS, MassHealth, SourceAmerica) or CARF-accredited organizations is beneficial but not required.
• A genuine commitment to Sunshine Village’s mission and to the dignity, independence, and potential of every individual we serve.
