Schedule: Shift lengths and locations vary daily based on booked events, festivals, and community pop-ups. Must be flexible and available for afternoons, weekends, and select holidays.

About Us: Welcome to Sunshine & Snow Shaved Ice! We are a brand-new, fully mobile shaved ice business dedicated to bringing premium, fluffy snowcones, and unbeatable summer vibes to our community. We operate out of a high-energy pop-up tent, and our location and hours change almost every single day depending on local events, food truck rallies, and festivals. We are building a passionate, tight-knit small team that thrives on variety and loves the excitement of a dynamic workspace!

Important Note on Scheduling: Because we are a fully mobile, event-based business, this position does not have a fixed, repetitive weekly schedule. Your shift locations and start/end times will change throughout the week depending on where our tent is booked. A full weekly schedule with exact locations will be provided in advance so you can plan ahead!

Job Summary: Are you looking for a fun, fast-paced job where you get to enjoy the summer energy without the typical retail or indoor restaurant drag? As a Shaved Ice Team Member, you will be the face of Sunshine & Snow! You’ll handle everything from welcoming customers and taking orders on our digital register to shaving ice and pouring delicious flavors perfectly.

Yes, our pop-up tent is outdoors, but don’t worry about the heat- we keep our workspace cool with fans, plenty of shade, and free premium shaved ice employees can eat during their shifts! If you love a changing environment, a supportive team, and a fun atmosphere, we want you to apply.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

• Customer Service: Greet every customer with a friendly smile, take orders accurately, and handle cash and card transactions using our digital POS system.
• Shaved Ice Production: Safely operate our ice-shaving equipment and master the art of pouring perfect flavor ratios for a beautiful, premium product.
• Mobile Setup & Maintenance: Assist with keeping our tent, counters, and equipment sparkling clean and organized throughout the day.
• Vibe Check: Maintain a positive, high-energy attitude even when lines get long on hot summer days!

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

• Reliable Transportation: Must have a reliable way to get to our changing, local event setup locations on time.
• Great Communication: Friendly, energetic, and comfortable chatting with customers of all ages.
• Availability: Flexible schedule with availability to work peak hours (including afternoons, weekends, and select holidays).
• Speed & Accuracy: Ability to work quickly and stay organized under pressure during busy rush hours.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work comfortably in a fast-paced tent environment.
• Prior food/drink service, retail, or cash handling experience is a plus, but not required- we will teach you everything you need to know!

Paid Training & Certification Requirement: To ensure the highest standards of saftey, quality for our customers, and to abide by state cottage food vendor laws, all team members are required to complete and pass a state-approved Food Manager Certification course and exam.

We pay for it: Sunshine & Snow LLC covers 100% of the course and exam fees.

How it works: Once hired, our small team will host a paid, sit-down group session before our grand opening to complete the online course and take the exam together. Passing the exam is a requirement for official scheduling.
