Sunshine Schools is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Learning Center Director to lead one of our established school locations. This role is for a proven leader who understands early childhood operations, values structure and accountability, and knows how to build strong teams and trusted family relationships.

This is a leadership role for someone who has already served as a Director or Assistant Director in a licensed childcare center and is ready to lead with confidence, clarity, and care.

🔍 About the Role

As a Sunshine Schools Director, you are responsible for the daily leadership and performance of your school. You set the tone for staff culture, family experience, and operational excellence.

You will be supported by regional leadership and shared service teams, but you are expected to own execution inside your building.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and retain a high-performing team of educators and support staff
• Ensure full compliance with North Carolina childcare licensing regulations
• Oversee enrollment, staffing, attendance, and daily operations
• Build strong, professional relationships with families and the community
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment
• Implement company systems, policies, and procedures with consistency
• Communicate clearly and proactively with regional leadership

• Have proven experience as a Childcare Director or Assistant Director
• Understand licensing, ratios, staffing models, and center operations
• Lead with both warmth and accountability

Early childhood credentials and prior leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting are required.
