Duties
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
- Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Ensure all animals are safe and secure within their designated areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being.
- Support dog training sessions as required, reinforcing positive behaviors.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and any incidents that occur during shifts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred (e.g., dog handling, pet sitting).
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices and veterinary assistance is a plus.
- Ability to handle various breeds of dogs and other animals safely and compassionately.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting animals and cleaning facilities.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
- Certification in animal restraint or dog training is advantageous but not required.
