Educational Director

Sunshine Learning Center is a leading full day early-childhood education program educating children from 6 weeks - 5 years -old. We provide high quality care and education, shaping our early learners while building strong ties with parents and communities. The Sunshine Learning Center has locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and the Bronx.

We are currently hiring an ambitious Educational Director with strong leadership skills, looking to use their experience and training to develop children's lives.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000

We are currently offering a sign-on bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise all daily operations
• Ensure the ongoing delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Conduct formal and informal teacher observations
• Provide staff training
• Oversee student assessments
• Review teacher lesson plans
• Ensure the early education center achieves educational goals
• Maintain a regular and proactive method of communication with families
• Oversee marketing efforts to maintain full program enrollment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
  
  
  

Requirements:

• New York State Teaching Certification: Birth - 2nd or Grades 1-6
• Master’s Degree preferred, minimum BA.BS Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum 2 years classroom experience with children under 6 years-old
• Leadership experience preferred
• Strong computer, verbal, and written communication skills
