Responsibilities
- Ensure proper documentation of all medical interventions using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as RN PAD and HHAexchange.
- Maintain a safe transportation environment by managing medication administration during bus routes if needed and assisting with emergency procedures like airway management, seizure precautions when needed.
- Be prepared to handle emergencies should they arise during transport.
- Requirements
- Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of New York with current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience working in pediatric or school health settings preferred; familiarity with working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing procedures such as Trach care, GT feedings, seizure precautions, diabetic care, oxygen administration, Bipap-Cpap.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like RN PAD/HHAexchange for accurate medical documentation.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, parents, healthcare providers, and emergency responders.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations while providing compassionate patient care.
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
