Pediatric in-home Registered Nurse

Urgently Hiring: Pediatric Registered Nurse for In-Home Care in Middletown, NY

Join Sunshine Homecare Services – where compassion meets excellence in pediatric home care. We are seeking a warm and dedicated Pediatric Registered Nurses to deliver one to one quality, patient-centered nursing care to a medically fragile child with complex health care needs at home.

Position Details

· Location: Orange County

· Employment Type: Per-Diem

· Schedule: Multiple open shifts, nights and weekends

· Rate: $50.00/hr.

Essential Job Duties

• Provide direct care to child at home according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Document timely clear, concise, and accurate clinical notes in accordance with the plan of care using agency EMR system RN PAD
• Notify the RN Case Manager promptly of any changes in the patient’s condition.
• Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN program
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience in acute/critical care setting. Home care/pediatric home care experience preferred.

Certifications/Licenses

• Current CPR Certification
• Valid NYS RN License

Skills & Abilities

• Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills
• Basic knowledge of vents, trachs, oxygen, feeding tubes, urinary catheters, ostomies
• Understanding of pediatric disease processes and medication interactions
• Ability to work with clients of all ages and backgrounds

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to lift over 20 lbs, move and carry medical equipment
• Work in patients home environment
