Pediatric Registered Nurse (School Setting)

Compensation: $49.00 – $52.00 per hour

We're currently seeking a compassionate Pediatric RN to provide one-on-one school-based nursing care for an amazing young girl. She is non-verbal but finds meaningful ways to express gratitude and love.

Schedule Options:

• Weekdays: 7:30am – 3:00pm

Clinical Experience Required:

• G-Tube feeding

• Glucose monitoring & insulin coverage

• Catheterizations

• Nebulizer treatments

• Epi-Pen administration

• Seizure precautions / epilepsy supervision

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to the student during school hours.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

• Monitor, document, and report student's health status throughout the day.

• Respond to medical emergencies with appropriate interventions.

• Manage and maintain medical devices (feeding tubes, catheters, etc.).

• Collaborate with school staff, family, and healthcare providers.

• Follow the care plan developed by the RN Case Manager and physician.

• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety procedures.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

• Nursing degree from an accredited program

• Current CPR certification

• UAS certification (can be obtained during training)

• Prior RN experience in LHCSA/CHHA setting

• Pediatric care experience preferred

• Reliable transportation

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with HHAeXchange preferred (not required)

• Strong pediatric care skills

• Excellent communication with children, families, and staff

• Ability to remain calm in emergencies

• Organized and detail-oriented documentation habits

• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
