Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges with accuracy
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Upsell items by recommending complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented
- Assist with inventory management through stock checks and participating in stock replenishment activities
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills are essential for accurate transactions and cash handling
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially if you've led teams or trained new staff members
