Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms.
- Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using electronic health record systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to evidence-based practice guidelines.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in medical knowledge and best practices through continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current unrestricted state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited certifying body (e.g., American Nurses Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners).
- Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a primary care or family practice setting is preferred.
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and other relevant medical software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
