What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asphalt Roller Operator position at SUNSHINE ENTERPRISE USA LLC?
Position Summary
The Roller Operator is responsible for safely and properly operating assigned equipment and producing a quality end product meeting specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the asphalt roller to compact asphalt to the required specifications, ensuring proper compaction and smoothness.
- Accurately pinch joints and edges to achieve a quality finished product with consistent density.
- Understand and adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment.
- Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the equipment, including checks on motor oil, fuel levels, hydraulic systems, radiator, water tank, and spray system. Perform routine maintenance such as greasing and cleaning of the roller.
- Follow the direction of the Foreman and Quality Control Technician, executing the prescribed rolling pattern to achieve the necessary density and smoothness according to project specifications.
- Assist with other tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of proven record of operating asphalt roller for finishing
- Clean driving record
Necessary Attributes:
- Must possess the ability to adapt to different personalities and management styles
- Team player and with good interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with good verbal and written communication skills
- Reliance on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Dedicated and hard-working
