Cook **WEEKENDS** **ASSISTED LIVING

SUMMARY:  Performs assigned duties that protect and ensure the safety and dignity of residents.  Works together with the Resident Care Supervisor to ensure that resident care goals are being met.

            Education and/or Experience:  The ability to read, write, speak clearly and follow written and oral instructions. Must be willing and able to make decisions when responsible for the facility

Other skills and Abilities:  Must be aware and understand the needs of the elderly.  Must be able to accommodate and understand diets, diet orders, quantities, special requests, how to follow recipes, and above all put some love into the cooking that is done.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  This job position requires moderate physical demands.  Duties may include frequent walking, stooping/kneeling/bending, lifting/carrying, and pushing/pulling during work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Including the following, but may include other duties assigned by the supervisor.

·      Cook meals according to menu’s

·      Meet all food nutrition guidelines when preparing foods

·      Cook foods to proper temperatures

·      Hold foods at proper temperatures

·      Cleanliness of the kitchen is your responsibility

·      When using the dishwasher, make sure the ppm is between 50-100

·      Have a thorough knowledge of the food code

·      Recording of food temperatures

·      Recording of Refrigerators’ and freezer temperature

·      Keeping the floor swept, mopped, and sanitized

·      Meeting any special requests that the residents and we can accommodate

·      Answer phones as needed.

Salary : $18 - $19
