Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Float Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. Float teachers go to any of our ten classrooms infants through school age and assist in daily activities. This position is great for college students majoring in psychology or education. Previous experience with children is preferred but not required!
Responsibilities
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support for children with special education needs.
- Foster strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational practices.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience across the curriculum.
Requirements
- Experience working in preschool or early childhood settings is highly desirable.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their developmental milestones.
