Your Role
- Responsible for all functions and paperwork relating to receiving
- Operates machinery including baler and forklift in a safe and proper manner
- Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for receiving all products entering the store
- Invoice management
- Receives all product for the store, inspecting for shortages, overages, damage, and quality.
- Works closely with the inventory manager to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Delivers or routes products to appropriate departments or storage areas.
- 1-2 years prior receiving experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Able to understand proper retail receiving
- Ability to perform basic math operations
- Basic computer knowledge
- Able to communicate professionally with vendors and team members
- Ability to exert moderate, though not constant, physical effort - typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 40 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Requires the ability to move heavier objects with assistance.
