Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant located in Bloomington, IN. This role is currently part-time, with opportunities of growth to full time if desired. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of occupational therapists to assist in implementing treatment plans, supporting clients in achieving therapeutic goals, documenting progress, and collaborating with therapists and caregivers to promote skills development. The role also involves maintaining a safe, positive, and engaging environment tailored to each child's needs.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Services
- Provide high-quality 1:1 occupational therapy to school-aged and early intervention clients.
- Execute treatment protocols and skill acquisition programs designed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and consistent progress toward client goals.
- Maintain accurate, objective clinical documentation and session notes in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Target a productivity requirement of approximately 85% Labor Utilization goal
Qualifications and Requirements
Required
- Active certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L).
- Experience working with children.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and basic administrative software.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work in a clinic-based environment.
Preferred
- Experience in an ABA or multidisciplinary pediatric setting.
- Familiarity with CentralReach or similar practice management software.
- Background in Early Intervention (EI) programs
