Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly demeanor.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
• Serve food, beverages, cocktails, and spirits efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and safety.
• Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments, using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
• Upsell menu items such as specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, wine knowledge, or dietary restrictions with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales management.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically.
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while multitasking between serving, taking orders, and processing transactions.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and calculating bills swiftly.
• Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques to upsell effectively.
• Food handling certification and understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
