What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Machine Operator - B1 position at Sunset?
Schedule:
B1 Thursday thru Saturday with alternating Wednesdays
5am-5pm
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Production line Graders are following all Mastronardi safety policies and procedures.
- Lead a group of 16 to ensure tasks are done in a timely manner
- Ensure production quality of our produce meets customer specifications.
- Assign Graders to a specific line per play sheet, assist in rotating Graders throughout the Unit.
- Communicate pack quantities to ensure there are no production overages.
- Assist and support the Production Administrators to ensure a smooth product changeover process.
- Work within the Unit to improve efficiencies and packing to specifications.
- Coach, train and mentor Graders; escalating any performance concerns to Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally is required
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a warehouse/production line environment.
- Prior experience as a line lead in a production environment is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work in our refrigerated warehouse with 50° F temperature-controlled zones.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation
- Position requires sitting, standing, walking and bending, squatting, and crawling on a regular basis
