Primary Function:
The Assistant Controller will be responsible for preparing and reporting financial performance results to meet internal and external financial reporting requirements, field inquiries and prepare periodic presentations. The Assistant Controller will oversee the financial processing, reconciling, and reporting of several US subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review month end financial processing, for Mastronardi Produce and subsidiaries, including reconciliation of accounts, preparation of supporting schedules, adjusting entries, variance and ratio analysis and financial statement review.
- Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements, including multiple currency reporting.
- Prepare the monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting package, including financial statements, executive summary, and board presentation.
- Prepare short and long-term trend reports, including working capital, capital spending and profitability and communicate concisely to identify the current trends and potential future impacts.
- Have a vital role in the preparation of the annual budgeting process, including pre-budget analysis and research.
- Prepare and update ongoing operational and department spending forecasts.
- Participate in the annual external audit, tax preparation and be involved with periodic regulatory requests.
Education/Background Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- CPA designation preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including performing analysis, identifying root causes of variances and reporting results concisely are required.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point is required.
- Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills and be comfortable interacting with executive-level management.
- Experience with financial modelling including scenario, sensitivity, and ratio analysis.
- Previous experience at an assistant controller level or relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Navision preferred.
- Experience with consolidation reporting software application
