We are seeking a full-time Hospice Chaplain for our on-site facility in Plymouth, MA. The Hospice Chaplain will provide spiritual support and guidance to patients, families, and staff, respecting individual beliefs and diverse backgrounds. Responsibilities include assessing spiritual needs, offering counseling, conducting religious or memorial services, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care. The Chaplain will also assist in bereavement support and promote a comforting and dignified environment for all.
- Strong knowledge in spiritual counseling, grief, and bereavement support
- Experience in conducting religious or memorial services across diverse spiritual beliefs and traditions
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
- Certified or ordained clergy or chaplaincy certification preferred
- Master's degree in Divinity, Theology, Religious Studies, or related field
- Previous experience in hospice or palliative care is highly desired
- Commitment to providing compassionate care and respecting patient and family preferences
