We're looking for a Senior Systems Administrator to help lead the technology decisions that keep our operations running smoothly, securely, and ready to grow.
Job Summary
The Senior Systems Administrator plays a lead role in coordinating, planning, and implementing technology initiatives across the company. This position holds primary decision-making authority over the selection, design, development, and implementation of our software systems and web platforms, including sign-off authority on related IT vendor contracts. You'll also manage user access across a portfolio of applications and serve as a key technical resource for the organization.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary decision-maker for selecting, designing, developing, and implementing the company's software systems and web platforms.
- Hold sign-off and approval authority on IT-related vendor contracts and technology commitments.
- Develop and update IT policies and standard operating procedures.
- Support IT audits and manage responses to audit observations.
- Manage and monitor user access across internal systems.
- Use Microsoft tools to develop solutions that optimize business processes.
- Coordinate the purchase and distribution of PC hardware to employees.
- Take part in developing an inventory management system to track company equipment.
- Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems.
- Implement security measures and monitor security certificates and compliance requirements.
- Offer technical support to staff and troubleshoot computer problems.
- Install and update software and hardware as needed.
- Prepare project status reports and define hardware, software, and network requirements.
- Maintain networks, video systems, and ERP system setup/deployment.
- Support cell phone setup, distribution, and deployment, and database administration.
- Identify and resolve project issues, and provide training to users on software, systems, and processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- College degree in IT or a related field, or 2 years of IT experience in place of a degree.
- IT certifications are a plus.
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP) experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, and Windows Server.
- Server support, RF scanner support, iOS, Android OS, and Cisco network knowledge; industrial printer and phone system support experience are all pluses.
- Warehouse management software and SharePoint admin knowledge are pluses.
- Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) maintenance knowledge.
- Comfortable with heights preferred, as some access points are located on the warehouse ceiling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A can-do attitude with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills at all levels of the organization.
- Strong customer service, analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills, with great attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, manage tight timelines, and handle sensitive or confidential situations professionally.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to drive, stand, walk, and speak.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or lift up to 50–75 lbs.
