Territory Sales Manager
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for producing maximum sales and distribution of all products and providing quality service to all customers in an assigned area by effectively executing the Company’s strategic sales and marketing plans through effective leadership and supervision of the Sales team. The Territory Sales Manager’s primary duties include effective development and implementation of Company programs and policies that will result in the achievement of sales volume and merchandising goals while effectively presenting the Company’s brands to the retailer and the consumer.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of key accounts, including decision-makers, sales performance, pricing structures, distribution channels, in-store displays, and promotional activity.
- Continuously monitor and assess merchandising conditions for both company and competitive brands to ensure optimal brand representation
- Utilize demographic, socioeconomic, and geographic market data to inform strategic decision-making and sales planning.
- Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing the sale and distribution of malt beverages.
- Provide proactive support in the development, coaching, and performance management of Area Sales Managers, ensuring team effectiveness and accountability.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers through ride-with and work-with activities to deliver hands-on training, feedback, and sales execution guidance.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of brewery sales requirements, ensuring both internal (facility-based) and external (account-level) sales activities meet established standards.
- Regularly verify compliance with brewery-specific sales expectations and performance metrics.
- Support and uphold all company policies, programs, and procedures, ensuring consistent implementation across the team.
- Ensure Sales team members are fully informed of, and compliant with, company guidelines, operational standards, and performance expectations.
- Actively participate in local, regional, and corporate initiatives, representing the company in a professional and collaborative manner.
- Foster a culture of open communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration across departments and sales teams.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of the beer industry, with an emphasis on competitive dynamics, market opportunities, and emerging threats.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales management, with a demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive results.
- At minimum of (2) years of direct people management and team development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced technological proficiency, with the ability to conduct and manage sales training through digital platforms and tools.
