Laborer – Paving or Grading Crew
Schedule: Day or Night Shift | 8–14 hour shifts | Monday–Friday | Weekend work as needed

Sunrock is seeking hardworking individuals to join our Paving and Grading crews as Laborers. This position plays an important role in supporting site development and roadway construction projects across North Carolina.
Laborers assist crews with grading, asphalt paving, equipment support, and job site preparation to help ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Do
Perform general construction labor for paving and grading crews
Shovel, rake, and grade materials as directed by the Foreman
Assist with asphalt paving operations and site preparation
Help clean and maintain equipment and work areas
Operate small hand tools and power tools as needed
Assist with placing and removing traffic control devices including cones, barricades, and signage
Support the crew in maintaining safe and efficient job sites
Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Reliability and punctuality
Experience in paving, grading, or construction is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior construction, paving, or grading experience
Familiarity with hand tools and construction equipment
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
Physical Requirements
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and working around heavy equipment. Laborers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor environments that may include heat, cold, dust, and noise.
