Equipment Operator Recycle

About The Role

Sunrock is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator – Recycling to join our Construction and Recycling team. In this role, you will operate and maintain heavy machinery, equipment attachments, and material-handling tools used in the recycling production process. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring safe operation, maintaining equipment performance, and supporting efficient daily production. You will work closely with team members to keep recycling operations running smoothly.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment (construction, paving, mining, recycling, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment including loaders, excavators, and attachments (such as a dirt pan) used in the recycling process
• Ensure safe, efficient equipment operation in compliance with company, OSHA, and MSHA standards
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining consistent product quality
• Perform routine equipment inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs
• Identify mechanical issues and communicate or troubleshoot as needed to reduce downtime
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure steady material flow through the recycling system
