Position Summary
We are seeking a Contract Recruiter to join our growing Human Resources team. This role will focus on building candidate pipelines for school bus drivers, monitors, and aides-key roles that are critical to Sunrise’s operations.
The ideal candidate is a recruiting guru who thrives on sourcing hard-to-find talent. This role requires someone who is proactive, resourceful, and comfortable performing high-volume outreach and engagement to ensure a steady flow of qualified applicants to support our branches.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively source, screen, and engage candidates for driver and monitor positions using job boards, social media, community outreach, and referral programs.
- Conduct high-volume phone outreach to connect with applicants, complete pre-screens, and schedule interviews with hiring teams.
- Build and maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates to meet ongoing staffing needs.
- Partner with HR and operations leadership to understand each branch’s workforce goals and upcoming route requirements.
- Maintain candidate activity and status updates in Paycom ATS and ensure data accuracy.
- Support community-based recruiting efforts such as job fairs, local events, and workforce development partnerships.
- Track sourcing metrics, outreach results, and pipeline activity to measure recruiting effectiveness.
- Ensure all recruiting practices comply with company policy and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of recruiting, staffing, or talent acquisition experience (transportation, logistics, or similar industries preferred).
- Proven experience sourcing for hard-to-fill, hourly, or licensed roles (CDL).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable making outbound calls daily.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with Paycom or similar ATS highly preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage time and priorities independently.
