Full-Time | Leadership Position

Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Director of Business Development (DBD) to join our leadership team in a multi-facility role supporting admissions growth and referral development at Sunrise and a nearby partner facility.

This position plays a key role in strengthening hospital relationships, improving referral conversion, supporting admissions processes, and helping both facilities meet occupancy goals through strong community presence and collaboration with clinical leadership teams.

Your Role as Director of Business Development

As Director of Business Development, you will work closely with the Administrator and regional leadership to support admissions strategy across both facilities. This position focuses on strengthening referral partnerships and improving the overall admissions experience from first inquiry through move-in.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with hospital case managers, discharge planners, physicians, and referral partners
  • Supporting referral development and admissions growth at Sunrise Skilled Nursing and Rehab and a nearby partner facility
  • Managing referral flow and supporting the admissions process from inquiry through admission
  • Coordinating with business office teams to verify insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet census and occupancy goals
  • Leading tours, assessments, and follow-up communication with prospective residents and families
  • Supporting internal marketing initiatives and community outreach efforts
  • Participating in weekly and monthly strategy meetings focused on admissions growth
  • Assisting with market research and competitor awareness
  • Helping strengthen systems that improve inquiry conversion, tour effectiveness, and customer experience


What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is organized, relationship-driven, and comfortable working both independently and alongside facility leadership teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in healthcare marketing, admissions, or long-term care business development
  • Experience working with hospital referral sources strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across two facilities
  • Professional presentation and follow-through
  • Self-motivated and team-focused mindset
