We are an innovative and dynamic Medical Detox and Recovery Facility currently looking for a dynamic RN to join the management team as our Nursing Manager. The Nursing Manager is responsible for planning and directing the functions of the nursing department in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Experience in behavioral health, and/or psych preferred.
Here are a few of the Nightly responsibilities of the Nursing Manager:
Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. as necessary - kinda boring, but necessary!
Ensure that direct nursing care is provided by a licensed nurse who is qualified, maintain competency assessments on all staff upon hire and annually - very important - we'll teach you!
Review nursing notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the nursing care being provided, that they reflect the resident’s response to care, and that the care provided is in accordance with the Medical Providers orders - if you didn't document it, it didn't happen!
Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure that medications are being administered as ordered and that treatments are provided as scheduled - so important!!
Provide direct nursing care as necessary - this is one of the best parts!
Responsible for weekend management coverage and on-call duties on a rotating basis or as needed. (Currently 12 hour shifts) - along with the DON - you won't be expected to figure everything out on your own - we're here to help!
Responsible for collaborating with the DON to ensure scheduling of Nursing staff to ensure 24 hour coverage (Currently 12 hr shifts) - this is a fun task and again - we'll train you. You have to start somewhere, right!?
To maintain full compliance of the nursing department not limited to; reports and audits as delegated. Don't worry - we'll train you!
Share responsibility with the DON to manage the facilities infection control
Maintain compliance for Joint Commission
Other duties as assigned
What Qualifications Do You Need
You would be a great fit for our team if you have the following:
State licensed RN for Indiana is a must. Can't work here without a licence!
Experience in Addiction and Behavioral Health a PLUS!
Experience as a successful Nurse Manager is great!
Extensive knowledge of state survey process for Residential Services would be beneficial, but not a deal breaker.
Knowledge of The Joint Commission survey process and compliance is again a plus.
Experience with MAT is a plus, but we are willing to teach you!
This position requires mental and physical strength and capabilities - this job is fulfilling and rewarding but also comes with the need to be able to problem solve and that takes a toll on some!
Must be an effective communicator and team builder - gotta be willing to talk to people and work through issues. We are one big team here and need people who like to work as a team!
