Description
We are looking for an attendant for Canfield Laundromat to fill an immediate part-time opening in Wilton, NY, working approximately three hours a day, four days per week. The qualified Canfield Laundromat Attendant will have previous experience in cleaning and working independently and pays attention to detail.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Laundromat attendant is responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and restocking the Canfield Laundromat and taking care of the surrounding parking area. This position helps create an appealing environment for patrons of the Laundromat.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Wipes down all machines, including the doors, front of machines, and top of machines. Opens washer doors and cleans the inside of the door, cleans inside the top loaders and the soap dispensers on the front load. Also, wipes down the vending machines.
- Wipes down all tables and chairs.
- Wipes down all window ledges
- Cleans all glass inside and out.
- Cleans cobwebs from the entrance.
- Pick up the parking lot area of the Laundromat. Ensures the area is free from cigarette butts and garbage.
- Quick wipes the laundry carts.
- Empties garbage.
- Cleans lint traps on all dryers.
- Sweeps and mops the floor
- Restocks the laundry vending machines. Advise the office of any product that needs to be ordered.
- Completes daily duty checklist.
- Reports any issues to the office.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous relevant experience is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull 30 pounds.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Able to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while in continuous contact with laundromat patrons.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
COMPENSATION:
- $17 - $18 per hour
