Job Summary And Qualifications
The Patient Transport/Support Services Department promotes connections between the hospital, potential & existing patients, employees and the community. Support Services is composed of the market-wide PBX Department, Patient Transport, Mailroom/Courier, Volunteers, and Concierge. The Manager is responsible for providing supervision for the daily operations and functions of Patient Transport, Concierge, Volunteers (as needed), and analytical support to the Patient Transport/Support Services Director. The Manager guides the staff in their day-to-day responsibilities, including mentoring and training the staff as needed. Proficient in facilitation and interpersonal communication, the Manager also consistently demonstrates skills in organization, prioritization, professionalism and coaching others.

- You will manage and direct the activities of the Patient Transport and Concierge Departments.
- You will oversee the day to day operations such as problem solving and employee performance, and ensure Patient Transporters comply with the standards set forth for patient/equipment movements.
- You will facilitate training of employees in safe patient transports.
- You will work collaboratively with other hospital departments to ensure a safe and efficient transport and check in process.
- You will identify staffing needs based on workforce analysis and communicate those needs to the Director of Patient Transport and Support Services.
- Bachelor’s Degree - REQUIRED
- Background in customer service and minimum two-year experience overseeing paid staff in an acute health care facility - PREFERRED
- BCLS certification - REQUIRED
