About the Position
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care for a pediatric patient in the home. This role is ideal for an LPN who enjoys developing long-term relationships with children and their families and who is passionate about providing supportive, compassionate pediatric care.
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate, family-centered nursing care to a pediatric patient
- Monitor, assess, and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered
- Provide support with ADLs appropriate to the child’s developmental stage
- Manage specialized pediatric equipment (e.g., feeding pumps, suctioning, oxygen, etc., as applicable)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per agency standards
- Collaborate closely with parents/guardians, caregivers, and supervisory clinical staff
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports the child’s comfort, stability, and growth
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in the state of employment
- One year of work experience in nursing
- Current CPR/BLS (Pediatric preferred)
- Pediatric experience preferred (home health, private duty, hospital, or clinic)
- Ability to work independently and follow a pediatric care plan
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults
- Patient, compassionate, and comfortable supporting families in the home environment
