What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exercise Physiologist position at Sunrise Health and Rehab?
Sunrise Health & Rehab, a skilled nursing and rehab facility, is looking for an Exercise Physiologist to join our team.
Schedule:
- Full-time, 9am-5pm
- Must work every other Saturday & Sunday
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine their current fitness level and exercise needs.
- Develop personalized exercise programs based on individual goals and medical conditions.
- Provide guidance and instruction on proper exercise techniques and equipment usage.
- Monitor patients during exercise sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Educate patients on the benefits of regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
- Certification as an Exercise Physiologist or similar credential.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
-CNA License is preferred.
- Experience in conducting patient assessments and developing exercise programs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide health coaching to patients.
- Ability to provide exceptional patient service and maintain a professional demeanor.
-Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
