Position – Early Care and Education Lead Teacher
Our licensed, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a full-time early education teacher. We are seeking a committed professional who has experience with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years, who loves to get down on the floor to play and appreciates that early childhood is a messy business.
The ideal candidate will be able to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment, have knowledge of trauma-informed practices, work well in a team atmosphere, and provide education and support to parents.
Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a background check.
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (or related field), preferred. High School Diploma/GED and 21 early childhood education related credits required.
Will consider applicants who are working on completing their associate’s degree and have a minimum of 12 early childhood education related credits.
Experience working with children required.
Prospective candidates must be at least 20 years of age and have the ability to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment.
Strong organizational skills a must. Knowledge of the philosophy and strength-based values of family centered services and early childhood education is an important part of this rewarding work.
Schedule: 40 Hours per week, Monday – Friday:
Either 8:00am – 4:00pm or 8:30am – 4:30pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.
Compensation: $19 - $21/hour, based on experience.

Primary Duties:
1. Maintain NAEYC Guidelines for Best Practices and all state licensing regulations in daily operations.
2. Complete any required daily paperwork, lesson plans and notes.
3. Work positively and collectively with others, as a team member of the ECE Program and the Sunrise community.
