Position Overview:
The Retail Lead plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily dispensary operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining compliance with Missouri state regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of cannabis products, and the ability to manage a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Sales and Upselling:
- Supervise budtenders to implement effective sales strategies.
- Encourage upselling and cross-selling to enhance customer experience.
- Team Management:
- Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising budtenders.
- Develop staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about cannabis strains, products, and industry trends.
- Educate staff on new products and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Lead to monitor inventory levels.
- Implement inventory control procedures to prevent discrepancies.
- Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Missouri state regulations governing cannabis sales.
- Oversee age verification procedures and maintain compliance with legal requirements.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline operational processes to enhance efficiency.
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Store Presentation:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment.
- Oversee merchandising efforts to highlight featured products and promotions.
- Security:
- Implement and maintain security protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Investigate and address any security concerns or incidents.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate and analyze sales reports and customer feedback.
- Provide insights to management for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong customer service, leadership, and communication skills.
- Previous experience in a retail leadership role, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, strains, and industry regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to retail operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with seed-to-sale tracking systems such as Metrc.
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
