Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental and medical history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnostic imaging using advanced tools such as digital X-rays and medical imaging techniques.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on accurate dental diagnosis, including procedures like dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics (crowns, bridges), orthodontics, dental implants, and oral surgery.
- Execute a wide range of general dentistry procedures with precision, adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate diagnoses and treatment options clearly to patients, fostering understanding and trust.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and state healthcare laws.
- Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional patient care, including pediatric dentistry for young patients and anesthesiology support when necessary for comfortable procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and healthcare diagnosis methods to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Valid state license to practice dentistry as a General Dentist.
- Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings with proficiency in dental fabrication, medical documentation, and client communication.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Familiarity with practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix for scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
- Expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures.
- Experience performing complex procedures including root canals, dental implants, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Ability to interpret medical imaging results accurately for diagnosis purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and education.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and state healthcare requirements ensuring confidentiality and compliance at all times.
